The St. Louis Cardinals are running into some problems since their slugger Mark McGwire went on the DL. The Cardinals have been in their worst slump of the season since McGwire has been out.  McGwire has been suffering problems with his knee and is considering knee surgery.  The Cardinals are trying to get back on track by acquiring Carlos Hernandez from San Diego and Will Clark from the Baltimore Orioles who will replace McGwire at first base.  The Cardinals will have to be able to adjust and get back on the right track.  For more information visit ESPN.com.

Jones Goes to Miami

Eddie Jones is finally getting his wish and is being traded to Miami.  This all was made possible due to a nine-player deal between the Hornets and the Heat.  Also involed in this deal were P.J. Brown, Jamal Mashburn, Otis Thorpe, Tim James, and Rodney Buford who were traded to Charolette.  Traded to Miami were Jones, Anthony Mason, Dale Ellis, and Ricky Davis.  The deal was made final as soon as it was clear that everything was under the salary cap.  For more detail on this deal, visit CBS Sportsline.
